摘要: Abstract Mediterranean coastal ecosystems are major tourist destinations that support intensive real estate business developments. However, these areas also important as biodiversity hotspots. Coastal spiders have been poorly studied indicators of habitat disturbance, especially those depend on certain environmental variables. Plesiolena bonneti is a trapdoor spider exclusively inhabits the central Chile (i. e., Coquimbo region, 29°57′S, 71°20′W), intensely affected by loss due to urbanization associated with destinations. The main aim this work was establish, preliminary, conservation status P. supported different variables define activity period and occurrence males its distribution area. Trapdoor rare difficult observe in field where we used datasets obtained from citizen science establish activity, (maximum temperature, relative humidity, month observation) predictors occurrence. Moreover, since it lives an area perturbed urbanization, propose preliminary using IUCN Red List. We found species observed significantly more austral autumn (65% variability through Akaike weight) depends maximum temperatures 17 °C humidity above 90%. Its current mainly coastal, between Atacama regions. should be considered vulnerable species. increased observation male post-rains may driven physiological response avoid water loss, which would coincide reproductive period. As largest number records urban areas, two simple management measures: creation nature reserves within city, educational program for spider.
