摘要: Reproductive tract infections (RTIs) include not only sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), but also endogenous infections, caused by an overgrowth of organisms normally present in the reproductive tract, and iatrogenic procedures that manipulate including induced abortion, delivery, traditional practices. Although data are inadequate drawn primarily from clinic hospital populations, it appears RTIs common have severe consequences for women Kenya. Nonetheless, national health planning policies given little priority to these diseases. This chapter explores reasons this neglect attempts offer a range possible interventions.
