The Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSORF): A validation study on Iranian Muslim patients undergoing dialysis

摘要: The Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSORF) is an often used and validated scale that uncommonly utilized in culturally diverse populations. purpose this research investigation was to adapt the SCSORF for use among Iranian Muslim patients undergoing dialysis examine reliability validity population. A total 428 (228 females, 200 males, M age = 52.2 years, SD 10) were selected from five center Tehran Qazvin, Iran. comprehensive forward–backward translation system cross-cultural translation. Patients completed a baseline questionnaire obtaining demographic clinical information as well SCSORF, Age Universal Orientation Scale (AUROS), religious life inventory (RLI), Duke University religion index (DUREL). 2 weeks later, asked complete once again. Reliability examined using internal consistency test-rest reliability. Convergent factor structure exploratory analysis (EFA) confirmatory (CFA) also examined. Cronbach’s α single construct 0.89 with adequate test–retest measured over week period. scores significantly correlated AUROS, RLI DUREL. EFA generated solution while these results confirmed by CFA independent sample. Findings demonstrated has favorable reliability, convergent validity, divergent recommended clinicians (e.g., nephrologists) measure strength faith patients.
