摘要: Prion diseases are emerging infectious disorders that affect several mammalian species including humans. The transmissible agent is comprised of PrP(Sc), a misfolded isoform the normal host-encoded prion protein PrP(C). Immunodetection PrP(Sc) often utilized for disease diagnosis and tracking spread through host. We have developed rapid, high-throughput 96-well immunoassay, which specific detection PrP(Sc). This assay has limits similar to western blot advantageous because its comparatively shorter running time, smaller start-up operation costs large sample capacity.
