摘要: The results of previous experiments to determine the effect an electric field on boiling heat transfer are reviewed. It is pointed out that major effects occur in regions peak flux, transition boiling, and minimum boiling. These known be heavily influenced by hydrodynamic stability. Hydrodynamic stability presence field. theory therefore reconstructed, including a perpendicular across interface separating vapor liquid phases. result ratio heattransfer rate with zero field, as function electric-field strength physical parameters medium. calculations restricted nonconducting fluids, is, good dielectrics. analytical compared recent, but somewhat experimental and, within inherent complexities problem, agreement good. Apparently predicts correct functional form data.
