摘要: Virulence of the human fungal pathogen Candida albicans depends on switch from budding to filamentous growth. Deletion Arf GTPase Arl1 results in hyphae that are shorter as well reduced virulence. How is regulated during hyphal growth, a process characteristic fungi, yet absent S. cerevisiae, unknown. Here, we investigated importance Rab6 homolog, Ypt6, Arl1-dependent growth and determined YPT6 overexpression specifically rescued defect an arl1 mutant, but not converse. Furthermore, show deletion ARL1 alteration distribution Rab8 Sec4, cells this restored upon overexpression.
