摘要: The objective of this paper is to apply the Virtual Reference Feedback Tuning (VRFT) Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) control strategies in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Using Benchmark Simulation Model No. 1 (BSM1) as a case study, proposed data-driven approach provides reduced-order controllers only using batch input-output data points (i.e. manipulated variable-controlled variable), obtained from an open-loop experiment. methodology also includes pre-processing step that subtracts impact influent variability and sensor noise output signals. possible interactions amongst different loops are handled decoupling where each signal computed depending on error all at same time. In order test methodology, several evaluated via simulation. results show substantial improvements plant performance can be when implemented. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. (Less)
