摘要: The homogeneous topography of Argentina's flooding pampas conceals a substantial amount spatial and temporal ecosystem heterogeneity. Differences in soils, grassland botanical composition plant growth regimes that occur down to individual paddocks influence livestock grazing patterns and, predictably, affect the productivity cattle ranches region. Over 40 years ecological research have greatly improved understanding structural functional heterogeneity this ecosystem. This better has led development management strategies help ranchers optimize secondary production by achieving more efficient use vegetation. As result, are rapidly increasing profitability integrating grass-fed yearling finishing programmes with traditional cow-calf operations
