摘要: Carbon tetrachloride (CCL4) is one of the most toxic chemicals causes oxidative stress in living organisms. Our experiment started with twenty female rats that were divided into 4 groups; The 1 st group G1 served as control group, 2 nd G2 injected twice a week CCL4 diluted olive oil (1:1 v/v), 3 rd G3 fed daily for 14 days 1ml Oregano water extract and th G4 plus feeding extract. biochemical results indicated significant elevation liver kidney functions including ALT, AST, creatinine, uric acid urea due to toxicity induced by CCL4. levels significantly decreased after administration oregano group. Lipid profile was evaluated four groups measuring total cholesterol, HDL-C triglycerides. variation noticed over down expression genes CCl4 explored. These up regulated tracked using differential display technique.
