摘要: In this paper I examine how the politics of mobility is an important factor when considering contentious nature urban growth debates. By a mean political struggle over what type transportation mode—be it automobile, transit, or walking—is developed in city, and space configured to make various modes functional. More importantly, extension competing contested ideologies normative values about city should be for whom. provide case study Atlanta, Georgia's business elites their negotiation as they confronted crisis congestion air pollution. This provides platform further comparative research on debates era increasing environmental social problems stemming from policy.
