摘要: Species differ in their need for conservation action and relative importance conserving current historic ecological evolutionary diversity. Given the present biodiversity crisis lack of resources, threatened species must be differentiated from each other so that those presenting higher priority can attended first. Here we propose a novel approach to calculate index (PI) within monophyletic groups, by combining life history traits, extrinsic factors, singularity, phylogenetic distinctness. To test our used group Neotropical snakes, pseudoboines, as model lineage. create PI combined four different indices: intrinsic vulnerability extinction (IVE, comprised six factors), (EVE, three oddity (EO, factors) distinctness (PD). Intrinsic was evenly distributed across clade EVE Brazilian hotspots Biodiversity, Atlantic Forest Cerrado. As expected due nature index, few average phenotype presented high EO values, whereas PD values did not vary greatly among pseudoboines. Representatives almost all clades pseudoboines appear ten highest maximizing diversity prioritized taxa. Although it is possible compare obtained studies lineages (indices are clade-specific), extending this more inclusive (e.g., families) might enhance quality future prioritization processes. The method would especially useful taxonomically driven plans.
