摘要: Objectives: Hepatic steatosis is associated with an increased risk of developing serious liver disease and other clinical sequelae the metabolic syndrome. However, visual estimates from histological sections biopsy samples are subjective reliant on invasive procedure risks. The aim this study was to test ability a rapid, routinely available, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) method diagnose clinically relevant grades hepatic in cohort patients diverse diseases. Materials Methods: Fifty-nine range diseases underwent MRI. quantified firstly using opposed-phase, in-phase gradient echo, single breath-hold MRI methodology secondly, estimation by histopathologist computer-assisted morphometric image analysis. area under receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve used assess diagnostic performance against observations. Results: approach had high sensitivity specificity at all thresholds. Areas ROC curves were 0.962, 0.993, 0.972 thresholds 5%, 33%, 66% fat, respectively. measurements strongly (r2 = 0.83) 0.84) specimens. Conclusions: This approach, conventional, echo method, has for diagnosing fat
