摘要: Abstract PURPOSE: Whereas prison inmates are reported to exhibit poorer overall health status and higher rates of care utilization than the general population, no current information exists on disease profile U.S. population. The present study examined prevalence major acute chronic conditions in one nation's largest populations. METHODS: population consisted 170,215 Texas Department Criminal Justice (TDCJ) who were incarcerated between August 1997 July 1998.
