摘要: This research presents a new method, the decoupled overlapping grids for numerical modelling of transient pressure and rate properties oil wells. The method is implemented in two stages: global stage solved entire domain with point or line source well approximation, local (post-process) near-well region modelled explicitly boundary data interpolated from results. We have carried out simulation studies twoand threedimensions to investigate accuracy method. For homogeneous case 2D, we demonstrated convergence maximum error quantities interest computations by theoretical means. also proposed guideline selection relative mesh sizes simulations based on trends. Comparison other methods literature showed better performance all cases. further investigations heterogeneous 2D partially-penetrating wells 3D which show that trends observed deteriorate only slightly, high level achieved. Overall results this thesis demonstrate potential accurately model wellbore arbitrary configurations reservoir heterogeneity, gain computational efficiency achieved Kaycee, Blues, Zeros.
