摘要: Terrestrial gastropods have long been known to avidly accumulate trace elements such as copper, zinc and cadmium in their soft tissues [1,2]. It has suggested that this extraordinary accumulation potential of terrestrial snails may be related being forced avoid any substantial loss water which might occur upon excretion excessive amounts [3]. As a probable consequence physiological constraints, land developed efficient mechanisms retaining detoxifying within body. Consequently, some snail slug species belong those animals exhibiting the highest concentration factors for ever recorded among soil invertebrates, lead discovery metallothioneins (MTs) these organisms [3–6].
