摘要: Measurements are reported of the enthalpy mixing carbon tetrachloride with o-xylene, m-xylene, p-xylene, mesitylene, and pseudocumene over temperature range 0–55 °C. A modified design calorimeter vessel is described. The results obtained discussed by use theoretical treatment developed in Part I1 which assumes formation complexes solution between methylbenzenes. could be fitted reasonably well to theory exception CCl4+o-xylene system. system CCl4+m-xylene was found show a double maximum at ca. 15–20 °C where curve changes sign.
