摘要: The erythrocytic stages of Plasmodium lophurae were freed from their host red cells by specific hemolysis directly into a favorable medium containing an extract duck erythrocytes. Extracellular survival and development the parasite in vitro occurred culture media consisting essentially very concentrated prepared special nutrient solution. Omission or dilution cell resulted rapid degeneration parasites. Their favored presence erythrocyte gelatin, yeast adenylic acid, cozymase, especially further addition adenosinetriphosphate sodium pyruvate. Under best conditions yet tested, all free parasites continued extracellularly during first two days cultivation. Merozoites formed extracellular segmentation originally present developed trophozoites. On third day majority still normal appearance, but fourth more degenerate, few remained on fifth day.
