摘要: Abstract Mammalian spermiogenesis is a complex process occurring in highly coordinated fashion within the seminiferous tubules. To elucidate molecular mechanisms controlling haploid germ cell differentiation, we have isolated cell- specific cDNA clones from subtracted library of mouse testis. One these cDNAs, Rosbin, 3.2 kilobases (kb) long and has an open reading frame 2385 nucleotides encoding putative protein 795 amino acid residues. A computer-mediated homology search revealed that it contained domain similar to homeobox genes. Northern blot analysis 3.2-kb mRNA expressed exclusively male cells. Transcription Rosbin gene was not observed prepubertal testis but became detectable after Day 23.
