Study of Rotational Isomerism in Fluoroacetyl Fluoride by Microwave Spectroscopy

摘要: Fluoroacetyl fluoride has been found to have two distinct sets of pure rotational transitions in the microwave region 8 36 kMc/sec, which identified as arising from rotamers, one with fluorine atoms trans another and other they are cis position. These spectra analyzed moments inertia obtained. The Stark effect gives dipole‐moment components: μa=0.456±0.010 D, μb=2.63±0.05 μ=2.67±0.05 D; μa=1.18±0.03 μb=1.68±0.04 μ=2.05±0.06 μc=0 for both forms. Several satellite lines were observed assigned torsionally excited molecules, a skeletal bending mode, combination these. Relative intensities then gave frequencies near 127 cm−1 torsion 265 bending.
