摘要: Abstract Acceptance by the dominant group reveals current standing of racial groups in U.S. hierarchy, as well possibility for assimilation. However, few researchers have addressed gendered nature preferences whites. We examine whites’ exclusion blacks, Latinos, Asians, Middle Easterners, East Indians and Native Americans possible dates, using a sample profiles collected from an internet dating website. find that white men are more willing than women to date non-whites general, yet, with exception their top two whites hierarchies males females differ. Among daters stated preferences, likely exclude blacks while Asians. argue relates racialized images masculinity femininity, shapes marriage outcomes, thus minority groups’ possibilities full social incorporation.
