摘要: The standard treatment of cholelithiasis in the United States is surgical removal gallbladder, but this often has a major economic impact on patient: surgery, lengthy hospitalization, and several weeks' absence from work. Because factor, there been movement toward non-invasive methods, they, too, have their drawbacks: long-term medical therapy; high risk stone recurrence because diseased gallbladder still place. We therefore developed means performing cholecystectomy through laparoscope using laser technology, results which are compared here with series "mini-lap" cholecystectomies that we also performed during same time period.
