Toxicon27, 707–716, 1989.—The of tetramethy-lammonium ion (TMA) is reviewed. The pharmacological action TMA also discussed, with special emphasis on the sign symptoms experienced by oral poisonings. It concluded that major manifestations poisonings may be attributed to interactions autonomous nervous system. Fatal intoxications are due neuromuscular blockade.
