摘要: Viruses rapidly evolve, and HIV in particular is known to be one of the fastest evolving human viruses. It now commonly accepted that viral evolution cause intriguing dynamics exhibited during infections ultimate success virus its struggle with immune system. To study evolution, we use a simple mathematical model within-host which incorporates random mutations. In this model, assume continuous distribution strains one-dimensional phenotype space where mutations are modelled by di ffusion. Numerical simulations show combined competition result towards higher Darwinian fitness: stable traveling wave moving levels fi tness, formed phenoty space.
