摘要: In order to illustrate the interplay between networks and narratives in construction of cosmopolitan communities, we discuss Odessa, Trieste, Tbilisi. Each has a past that was more than present, each, different degrees manners, remembers uses understand its present guide them towards future. each case, is mythologized ways, masking less pleasant or understandable aspects these societies. The current frames remember pasts are very from conceptual one can surmise periods remembered/reconstructed. city picks symbolic sites, practices, events, groups, story lines, character past. influence policy planning differed per city, as did network dynamics enabled rise fall places.
