摘要: Two forms of monoamine oxidase were identified in 15 regions the brain. These enzymes ientified by their sensitivity to drugs clorgyline and N -(1-phenylisopropyl)- -methyl- -propionylamine (E 250 or Deprenyl, Hungary) ability deaminate serotonin β-phenylethylamine. Enzyme activity was rather uniformly distributed There no statistically significant differences enzyme when compared three brain from mentally normal chronic schizophrenic subjects. were, however, large variations activities within groups subjects tested that could have masked true activity.
