摘要: Internet growth and the development of web technologies, transformed Web from a purely research network to an essential every day tool. In particular, strong demand availability multimedia resources combined intrinsic semantic gap, favoured evolution content based retrieval systems. The request flexibility that is required users gap have been spring for new generation media system. This paper aims at illustrating architecture features electronic by pointing out how these systems are provided with suitable layer improve system performance, where annotation, relevance feedback semantics driven object recognition increase precision retrieval. How clustering materials may be used recall support reuse material developing artefacts also discussed, thus envisaging novel directions.
