摘要: Abstract Adhesively bonded joints are widely used due to their ease of fabrication, maintenance and controllable stress distribution in the overlap region. There extensive investigations literature that characterize behavior with different geometries materials (i.e. isotropic anisotropic) subject various loading conditions. Although much work has been done on this subject, investigation into effect material non-linearity joint is scarce. Our earlier experimental numerical works revealed interesting, yet unpredictable results. This paper aims at addressing some ambiguities experienced our previous work. The presents development models tubular made composite/metallic adherends, high strain fields as a result torsional loading, consideration both geometrical non-linearity. results showed adherends’ magnitudes played an important role governing bond efficiency whose length surpassed certain limit. It was also realized performance significantly affected by fabrication related issues.
