摘要: Consistent evidence has shown that dopamine release in the prefrontal cortex is increased by electrical stimulation of inferior colliculus (IC) as unconditioned stimulus. Recent reports have also demonstrated inactivation basolateral nucleus amygdala (BLA) with muscimol enhances behavioural consequences aversive IC and reduces cortex. Moreover, neurotoxic lesions BLA enhance whereas those central (CeA) reduce aversiveness IC. Based on these findings present study examined effects extracellular levels serotonin CeA. To this end, rats implanted a electrode bore microdialysis probe or CeA for determination serotonin. at freezing escape thresholds ( approximately 70%) 60%) related to basal values. Similarly, metabolites DOPAC 5-HIAA parallel fashion BLA. No significant changes could be detected biogenic amines following stimulation. These point differential role serotonergic dopaminergic mechanisms setting up adaptive responses fear states generated level.
