摘要: Carbon fibre-reinforced epoxy resin samples made with aligned fibres, lengths of 1 to 5 mm, had strengths and Young's moduli that were affected by fibre length, surface condition well as volume fraction. Stress-strain trajectories all linear, except when the fibres coated silicone resin. Fibre critical found be condition, but composite strength could not accounted for length was inserted into usual equations, based on slip. The results indicate existing theoretical treatments modulus should take more account overstressing adjacent ends.
