摘要: The study presents the results of modelling, design, and experimental testing a multi-electrode spiral (cuff) to determine what extent cuff could be used for selective stimulation different types nerve fibers within particular compartments recording electoneurograms (ENG) from peripheral autonomic nerve. cuff, constructed in diameter fit size human left vagus (LV), containing thirty-nine platinum electrodes arranged thirteen circumferential longitudinal groups three (GTE1-13), was temporarily, under general anaesthesia installed on mid-cervical LV two subjects. relative position compartment, branches related SA AV node identified by delivering current biphasic pulses with quasi-trapezoidal-shaped cathodic square anodic part (stimuli) onto all GTEs. It shown that when stimuli were delivered GTE1, heart rate (HR) began fall. caused both, mainly B-fibers compartments, differential block A-fibers membrane hyperpolarization. Results demonstrate function can modulated via innervating compartment defined GTE also as GTE. presumed elicited site-specific changes ENG power spectra (PS), recorded LVN, extracted potential source information status neurocardiac system.
