摘要: A vane frame (40) for a turbomachine (10) and method minimizing the weight of (40). The includes an inner shroud (42) made up plurality segments (42A,42B), outer (44) circumscribing (44A,44B), guide vanes (28) structurally interconnecting shrouds (42,44). include first (28A) between connecting pairs (42A,44A) (42A,42B,44A,44B), second (28B) (42B,44B) (42A,42B,44A,44B). (28A,28B) are formed different materials, respectively, with material having lower strength, modulus, and/or density than material. structural interconnection (42,44) is dominated by (28B).
