GOOD MATHEMATICS TEACHING FROM MEXICAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS’ PERSPECTIVE

摘要: This paper reports a qualitative research that identifies the characteristics of good mathematics teaching from perspective Mexican high school students. For this purpose, social representations teacher and class were identified in group 67 In order to obtain information, questionnaire was applied with open questions focus groups three or four students organized. The answers analyzed by locating categories consolidate specific representation. information collected contributed shedding light on meaning words, phrases, notions common-sense knowledge used consider be someone who knows how transmit knowledge; provides step-by-step explanation does not leave doubts minds students; is patient/comprehensive make classes tedious/boring; teaches simple fun way, arouses interest class, you are bored, learn; there good, varied explanations lots exercises participations.
