摘要: Abstract Race-based conflict theory predicts substantial, institutionalized discrimination against minorities within criminal justice systems. This article examines the nature and extent of racial by police, courts, correctional agencies in United States. The body research analyzed points to effects at certain system social contexts, but it also suggests that is less extensive than what anticipated theory. In critically evaluating literature, a number methodological analytical deficiencies require attention future research—problems, which, if rectified, may lead documentation more subtle forms identification important contextual factors.
