摘要: Abstract In-plane shear properties of three-dimensional (3D) surface-core braided composite are investigated by numerical simulation and experimental tests. Based on RVE models, the mechanical responses under in-plane load basic related to braiding parameters predicted using finite element method. Numerical results indicate that two groups surface-cores possess distinct sensitivities loads identify main bearing components. tests conducted compare effects surface cuttings present material 3D 4-directional composite. The data reveal degrade moduli strengths materials varying degrees. can effectively restrain decline caused cuttings. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is used damage mechanisms tested materials.
