摘要: The feasibility of a novel type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) based on the synergy resistive and rectifier concept is investigated. proposed SFCL acts as in limiting phase whereas normal operating conditions it operates rectifier, thus avoiding true AC currents related losses superconductor. DC-operating resistive-type (in short DC SFCL) illustrated design parameters device are derived with reference to practical application distribution voltage level. bridge by means commercially available discrete diodes estimation total power consumption due these components carried out. Finally, present state art superconductors (including 1 2 G high temperature well MgB2) discussed, comparison conventional given.
