摘要: Objective: To identify the prevalence and correlates of three types pelvic pain (dysmenorrhoea, dyspareunia, other chronic [CPP]) in a nationally representative sample Australian women. Design setting: The CPP survey was part broader national study health relationships. Computer-assisted telephone interviews were administered to random 8656 households; 4366 women aged between 16 64 years interviewed 2004 2005. Eighteen more than 200 potential questions related pain. Main outcome measures: Self-reports dysmenorrhoea, any not associated with sexual intercourse or menstruation. Results: Data on 1983 16-49 who still menstruating sexually active analysed. Prevalences 71.7% for 14.1% dyspareunia 21.5% CPP; 23.3% reported no kind. Severe by 15.0% (95% Cl, 13.0%-17.1%) 7.8% 5.0%-11.9%) 20.0% 16.1%-24.6%) CPP. Just over third (34.2%) had sought advice from professional. Women reporting also likely report conditions, most notably depression anxiety. There clear associations difficulties, pregnancy outcomes. Conclusions: Rates are high. General practitioners need be ready discuss these issues patients, particularly relation underlying anxiety depression.
