摘要: The effects of environmental enrichment and transport stress on the immune system were investigated in laying hens. A total 48 1-day-old chickens used, half reared conventional cages (RCC) rest enriched (REC). Transport was applied 17th week. Liver weight decreased, spleen bursa Fabricius weights, white blood cell count, CD4+ CD8+ proportions increased due to transport. Environmental significantly antibody production tended increase monocyte percentage proportion. effect on, heterophil (H) lymphocyte (L) percentages not significant RCC chickens. While H:L ratio increased, decreased REC subjected functions both chickens, but higher hens than In conclusion, although did neutralize lymphoid organs, it activated non-specific system, cellular humoral branches specific by increasing functions, cells production, respectively. Therefore, suggested for improving animal welfare may also be beneficial improve birds exposed stress.
