摘要: Purpose: To investigate whether the immediate change in corneal power during radial keratotomy correlates with long-term postoperative subjective refraction, and thereby being predictive for refractive outcome. Methods: Manual keratometry was performed on 45 consecutively operated eyes of young persons myopia 5 dioptres less immediately after keratotomy. Automated spherical equivalent refraction were investigated a follow-up period 6 months correlated to intraoperative keratometric measurements. Results: On average, majority curvature took place within 1 min. There no correlation between changes measured up surgery. weak significant positive at surgery (R = 0.48, p<0.01). The prediction error estimating from was, however, similar patients who had bilateral Inclusion such fellow-eye information together age patient multiple linear regression analysis increased coefficient 0.48 0.75. Conclusions: central takes minutes incision. As single parameter, cannot be used titrating Information results first eye is, second eye. These findings suggest that large source variability is related individual factors, as biomechanics wound healing.
