摘要: The marine atherinid fishes of the genus Hypoatherina Schultz 1948 (Atherinidae: Atherinomorinae) were redefined from both morphological and molecular analyses, eight ten included species redescribed. In phylogeny, four regions mitochondrial DNA analyzed. results trees maximum likelihood Bayesian analyses indicated paraphyly former Hypoatherina. “Atherina” valenciennei woodwardi, formerly belonging to Hypoatherina, show closer relationships with Atherinomorus duodecimalis aetholepis. “Hypoatherina” celebesensis is also apart clade including majority species. contrast, H. panatela, regarded as a member Stenatherina 1948, in present clade. phylogeny can be supported by morphology.
