摘要: Thanks to its remarkable mechanical properties and excellent biocompatibility, pyrocarbon is an ideal material for articular use. Various implants the hand wrist have been developed over past 25 years, with about 15 currently available hemi-, total interposition arthroplasty. This article describes production methods of pyrocarbon. The author summarizes various each type joint, their reported results in literature, as well his team's experience.
