摘要: Abstract Corsica is a French island in the western Mediterranean with numerous distinct geomorphological, landscape, and biological characteristics. These specific attributes, mostly related to insularity, are hardly taken into account by indices currently recommended framework of European Union Water Framework Directive “WFD” for assessing ecological status watercourses. Thus, this work has focused on developing an innovative index adapted context territories such as Corsica, based Odonata group. In context, imago sampling was performed at 40 representative stations assess 33 major permanent rivers island. parallel, various biological, hydrological, physicochemical parameters affecting these organisms were recorded. The data collected nearly 30 species allowed accurate description typical populations Corsican watercourses, highlighting group's potential indicator. An indicator value assigned 12 identified most environments. results used develop 5 simple statistical descriptors. that found be best indicated correlation tests, named “ Community Index – Corsica” (OCIC), finally confronted WFD Corsica. study confirm significant OCIC compared other “official” indicators, limited they do not accurately all territories. our tests indicate new using group appears credible method could potentially improve evaluation system monitoring quality watercourses
