RESPONSE OF CANADA GEESE TO A TURF APPLICATION OF DIAZINON AG500

摘要: We investigated the effects of a turf application insecticide diazinon AG500 on Canada geese (Branta canadensis) golf course in coastal Washington (USA). On both 19 and 26 March 1987, 1 ha located Birch Bay, was treated with at target rate 2.2 kg active ingredient per hectare (Al/ha). Treated areas were then irrigated 6 mm water. Grass water samples collected from three different sites one day before 1, 3, 7 14 days after each application. Diazinon residues ≥20 ppm found grasses for week study area ponds creeks ≥17 ppb. Samples two irrigation puddles post-application had 1.00 0.20 diazinon, respectively. Numbers present declined following application; however, no goose mortality observed.
