摘要: We report the first plastome sequence of giant ragweed (Ambrosia trifida); with this new genome information, we assessed phylogeny Asteraceae and transcriptional profiling against glyphosate resistance in ragweed. Assembly genic features show a normal angiosperm quadripartite structure no signatures deviation gene directionality. Comparative analysis revealed large inversions across previously sequenced members plant family. plastid genomes contain two 22.8-kb 3.3-kb, former located between trnS-GCU trnG-UCC genes, while other is trnE-UUC trnT-GGU genes. The sequences A. trifida related species, artemisiifolia, are identical content arrangement, but they differ length. obtained well resolved congruent previous hypotheses about phylogenetic relationship Asteraceae. origin Ambrosia dated to ca. 16 My BP (13 - 20 BP). Expression divergence differences relative expressions at exonic intronic levels providing hints towards ecological adaptation genus. Giant shows various introns displaying higher expression patterns resistant time points after assumed herbicide treatment.
