摘要: This paper presents the findings of our study into performance two popular instant messaging applications: WhatsApp and Skype. We have evaluated Skype in terms their data consumption/usage when sending text messages making VoIP calls, as well quality calls made with these applications. Our results show that uses less compared to calls. also find both applications similar call (mean opinion scores) network conditions are good. However under poor conditions, is better than will be useful smart phone users who mobile plans limited allowance, provides guidance them selection which app more suitable for them.
