摘要: Abstract To properly manage world fisheries, especially highly migratory species, there are numerous treaties that have been implemented by specialized international fishery commissions. One of the oldest organizations is International Commission for Conservation Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT). The main focus this review was to summarize history, roles and responsibilities ICCAT, evaluate ICCAT's management sharks in general specifically shortfin mako ( Isurus oxyrinchus ) shark. This found Convention established 40 years ago, but it not until 2004 commission conducted its first population assessment on pelagic sharks.
