Effects of temperature and concentration on the steady shear properties of aqueous solutions of carbopol and CMC

摘要: Abstract The measured steady shear viscosities are reported in this paper for 1400∼2400wppm neutralized aqueous solutions of Polyacrylic Acid(Carbopol-934) and 4000∼11500wppm Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose(CMC). data cover a temperature range 10–70°C. Within the power-law viscosity range, it is solution kind not polymer concentration that results different correlations fluid behavior index n consistency K with temperature. properties CMC seem to be more sensitive but less than Carbopol solutions.
