摘要: Esophageal adenocarcinoma has seen a rapid increase in incidence throughout the Western world. Gastroesophageal reflux disease is an important risk factor for this cancer that develops patients with Barrett's esophagus, but infection Helicobacter pylori may reduce risk. The diagnosis of often at advanced stage and generally associated poor prognosis. Several innovative techniques (eg, chromoendoscopy, magnifying endoscopy, narrow-band imaging) have recently been developed to improve accuracy diagnosis. Although surgical resection mainstream treatment cancer, endoscopic submucosal dissection becoming promising procedure mucosal cancer. Surveillance, ablative therapies, chemoprevention, anti-reflux surgery prevention, are unproven value. Further evaluation warranted define optimal method standardize procedures management esophagus.
