摘要: It is challenging determining whether an ecosystem impaired. The complexity of direct and indirect interactions between physical, biological chemical components with their varying temporal spatial scales generally renders use multiple assessment approaches mandatory, a consequent need to integrate different lines-of-evidence. Integration involves some form weight-ofevidence (WOE). WOE reported in the literature vary broadly from subjective qualitative quantitative. No standard approach exists no accepted guidelines exist describing how process should be conducted. This review summarizes advantages, limitations, uncertainties approaches, critical issues involved selecting executing lines-ofevidence, for subsequent characterization likelihood impairment.
