摘要: This report synthesizes extant literature detailing the ecology of bottomland hardwood swamps in Southeast. The geographic scope focuses to hardwoods occupying floodplains rivers whose drainages originate Appalachian Mountains/Piedmont and Coastal Plain (NC, SC, GA, FL). origin dynamics are described related hydrology physiographic provinces. Further, biogeochemistry interactions between riverine floodplain environments discussed conjunction with biology.
