摘要: Within proteins, intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are devoid of stable secondary and tertiary structures under physiological conditions rather exist as dynamic ensembles inter-converting conformers. Although ubiquitous in all domains life, the intrinsic disorder content is highly variable viral genomes. Over years, functional annotations at scale whole proteome have been conducted for several animal viruses. But to date, similar studies applied plant viruses still missing. Based on prediction tools combined with annotation programs evolutionary studies, we analyzed Potyvirus, using a 10-species dataset representative this genus diversity. In paper, revealed that: (i) Potyvirus displays high content, (ii) conserved during evolution, suggesting advantage IDRs, (iii) IDRs evolve faster than ordered regions, (iv) may be associated major biological functions required cycle. Notably, proteins P1, Coat protein (CP) Viral genome-linked (VPg) display disorder, enriched specific motifs mimicking eukaryotic modules strategies host machinery hijacking. these three particularly despite their amino acid polymorphism, indicating link adaptive processes. Through comprehensive study, further investigate relevance biology propose potyviral IDRs.
